CFL ballasts are designed to control the energy current running to the lamp. This prevents the lamp from overheating or burning out. 

Emergency ballasts are designed to keep the lights on in the event of a power outage in the facility. 

Fluorescent ballasts are designed to control the energy current running to the lamp. This prevents the lamp from overheating or burning out. 

Fluorescent dimming ballasts are designed to control the energy current running to the lamp and offer dimming capabilities. This prevents the lamp from overheating or burning out.

HID ballasts mediate voltage and current to enable the lamp to turn on, reach peak brightness, and operate without overheating and burning out. 

HID capacitors are installed in ballasts to prevent flickering of the HID bulbs. 

LED drivers regulate and supply the appropriate amount of power to an LED light.

Sign ballasts ensure consistent operation of signs by controlling the current to the sign.
